Expat to develop import export as well as several other businesses

I, also am quite interested in the Cuenca area and primarily interested in a large area of land adjacent to old growth forest and close to a volcano. The land may or may not contain buildings. I would like to have a new house of about 4,000 square feet with central chimney of river stone.
Straw bale adobe clay with massive windows. Post and beam structure.
A barn to house equipment and tools and animals. Local access to milled hardwood for floors and trimwork.
Kitchen custom designed with a wood fired cookstove (antique)from US as well as used restaurant appliances.

Several honest and hard working locals to live on the property and to farm and maintain the land and buildings.
There will be 3 adults to start with the potential holistic medicine center close by.

I have several containers and would appreciate feedback. One would be primarily comprised of very old books and used tools, as well as multiple vehicles that are used as well as my collection of weapons. Rifles and pistols and ammunition for hunting and protection. Most are WW-2 Collections.

This would be a 40' container; the vehiles are a 1980 military 4 x 4 pickup, a Toyota, Tundra 4 door 2005. Also would like to ship a 2004 BMW 5 series.

Also, I would like to ship my heavy equiment;
JCB 215 Backhoe, Cat 4DH Dozer, Linkbelt large Excavator,
Tractors and implements. Tractor trailer and trailor for equipment.

Need a source of local lumber and stone.

Another container would have a 2006 Honda ridgeline 4 x 4 and the contents of a 4 br home with some artwork clothes and Gold coins and silver us mint coins.

A 46' Bertram, 13' Boston Whaler, 17' sunfish. Develop a full service marina as well as Sport-fishing and commercial fishing.

I would like the altitude to be about 5000 feet with access to the city

No guns!
by: Anonymous

Hi---
I'm a retiring federal officer with the Treasury Dept. and will be moving to Cuenca in 2013. I would advise you to NOT EVEN TRY to import firearms into Ecuador. They will not make a distinction regarding age, use, or type. You're liable to end up deported or worse, as a guest in Garcia Moreno Prison.
My family will be starting a clean water business [Agua Pura] (using a commercial Pelican R/O system) and I am financing radiant heat yoga studios in Salinas and Cuenca.

Volcano
by: uriel

There is property around our land. It is located in the caldera of the only habitable Volcano located in the middle of the world on the equator. It used to be a hacienda. It also surrounded by the National Forest. We just have begun construction on a spiritual holistic center.

As far as i know when we inquired you can not bring vehicles nor guns in.

You can bring in farming equipment.

Love and Light, Uriel
