Transportation between Quito and Ceneca.

What are the buses between Quito airport and Ceneca, and is it possible to access their websites? I notice that the websites of many of the Ceneca travel agents do not function that well.

You have mentioned vans between the airport and ceneca for around $12 pp. How do I either find these vans at the airport by name, or is there a web site to schedule in advance?

Buses in Cuenca
by: RIE

Hi Gladys,

The name of the van company is Operazuay. You can take a look at the website but you will need to transfer it into English. These vans run from Guayaquil to Cuenca only and is approximately a 4 hour trip. The office is situated not far from the airport but you would be better off taking a taxi even though it is walking distance, but not with suitcases and if you don't speak Spanish you will most definately get lost. Booking online may not be advisable. Usually you just walk in and book a ticket either way. Buses run every hour starting at around 6 in the morning till around 5 p.m. I would suggest staying in a hotel for one night and then traveling the next day. For Quito - Cuenca the best option is Sucre Express costing about US$ 12, taking 8 hours.
Happy travels
