Has anyone been through IL's fast track 2.5 day seminar about relocating to Ecuador?
If so is it worth the $900.00 they charge?
Thanks much

ECUADOR IS OVER!!!!!
by: Anonymous

The prices of houses and condos in Ecuador have sky-rocketed. In 2007, I purchased a new 2600 square foot home, 4 br 2.5 ba for $75,000 cash. The same home today sells for well over $200,000. The price of condos is even worse. Many real estate companies advertise houses and condos that are no longer for sale, many have been sold over a year ago. The reason that they are able to do this is the fact that Ecuador's laws are very weak. Remember, the people who are telling you how great things are, well they are the one's who will be trying to make money off of you once you arrive in Ecuador. The price of food has doubled, it is still cheap by American standards but it is still rising rapidly. There is also a growing hostility against "gringos" moving to Ecuador. Gringo's are the cause of the inflation, and the locals are not happy about it. The boom is over, and who is at fault, the gringos.

If you are a US citizen and an Expat what is wrong with putting your name to what you comment on.

We are only trying to get the correct information out of someone that has been through this.

Attended Feb. '13 Conference
by: Larry K. Hillman

We live in OKC so if you'd like to visit about our experience, find us in the phone book. In general, I think IL tends to sugarcoat their views and I suspect their interest in various real estate and other program presentations. However, I looked at it as cheap insurance against making a major mistake concerning a possible move. You might conside attending the upcoming Live and Invest Overseas worldwide conference in San Antonio, TX in early Sep. The conference cost may be about the same, but the travel expense significantly less. Best wishes in your planning. Larry and Nancy.

you need to sift thru the info they give you
by: Anonymous

IL's positive aspect is that they do have a lot of experience with IL and so have plenty of useful information that they make available to you. This is all real and good.

On the other hand IL tends to have hidden agenda's and you never can be sure which one they are. They have businesses and real estate holdings in the countries they promote so tend to give a more rosy picture than is real. They claim no sugar coating but they do embellish upon the facts to their favor.

Just my thoughts after having dealt with these people for over a decade.

Well worth the $$$
by: Lynn

I went through Ecudaor Fast Track in August.
I thought it was well worth the money! For
starters they cover ground I couldn't begin to
research nor search out. Second, the expats that
speak are personable, knowledgable & most
importantly "real". They don't sugar coat!
I met a bunch of interesting people from
everywhere and all walks of life. The social
hours were a "meet & greet" & they were good.

I would recommend this to any one looking
to possibly make the move to Ecudaor.

$900 Sounds High
by: Anonymous

What's the rush anyway? There's a lot of information available online, such as this site, so I personally see no need to shell out $900 to IL.
