FARC - still in Ecuador

Second hand story. But told FARC is still active in
Ecuador along the Columbian border.

I would like to know what is heard in local news about
FARC as of late.

Current political leanings in Ecuador seem to not take FARC as a threat to national security? I would love to
invest in a retirement property, but would like to find
out what is the truth with that so called "Marxist terrorist" organization.

Maybe the threat is over played in US circles..
