(California)

I want to relocate from California in 2013. I'm looking for some friends to email before then. I especially would like singles to write to as Im planning to do this alone. I think at first i want to live in Cuenca, but thats not set in stone.

I live in Cuenca by Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your feedback about your life in Cuenca. Is there any way in which you can put me in contact with your friends who live on a farm and take in renters?

I'm Ecuador bound too!
by: Len Bowcott

For myself it is either Cuenca or Quito. I'll be first on an extended, exploratory visit of up to a year. Where I will stay on this first visit will depend entirely on availability of accommodation.

I'm leaning towards Cuenca because it appears to have a lower cost of living, but Quito seems to offer more in the way of culture and things to do. My plan is to decide which location I will settle down into when I am there to see everything fist hand and do so with enough time available to do some extensive research.

It would be nice to have already made connections with like minded people so I thought I'd say hello!

I live in Cuenca
by: Dave

I have lived in Cuenca for over a year and am very pleased with the location, weather, food and the people. It is very safe here as opposed to Quito or Guayaquil and you can drink the water. People live to be a 100 years old and enjoy a healthier life than anywhere else I have been. Things are still inexpensive,I live on $600.00 a month. I have friends that live on a farm at a lower altitude that take in renters that is quite unique.

I will also be relocating from Melbourne, Australia, hopefully by the end of 2012. I'm a young 65 year old and am particularly looking at Cuenca but of course would like to first try it out. You can contact me on jammiestar8@gmail.com if you like.
