Activities in Cuenca

Am thinking of moving to Cuenca. I play duplicate bridge at a club here in Florida. Would I find a similar club in Cuenca? Also I play trombone in an amateur concert band of about 50 musicians, mostly older persons. Would I find a similar band in Cuenca without having to audition? I speak a little Spanish, but both of these activities require little conversation.

Hola Brad,

You only need to visit some of the expat hangouts and I am sure you will find what you are looking for. There are other musicians in Cuenca who have formed a band and I am sure you will be a welcome addition. There are also a few who play cards and I am sure there must be a club to support your activites. If you know some Spanish you can probably also find locals who enjoy playing cards. Best wishes to you.
Saludos
